Continuing on from the last post, how I was super excited that I had crochet my very first baby beanie from scratch (yeah, yeah, I know I keep banging on about it) well I'm very pleased to post the finished article ::
I think the crochet rose and boarder really make the hat! It's a shame I don't have any cute baby models to wear this to show of the decorative trim a bit more, it looks so pretty! I may use this in future for blankets :)
Here's a close up of the rose, sweet isn't it? It's one of those crochet roll and sew ones, there are a gazillion (yes an official number!) patterns online for crochet flowers, I normally search pintrest
Ah, so there we have it, my very first, sweet crochet baby beanie hat *proud face*.
I was thinking about writing a quick tutorial up for you guys, but I don't think it will work out, mainly because, I crochet left handed, and go clockwise instead of anti - clockwise, which may end up a little confusing for people, unless your a lefty of course!
I think I may make some more designs over this next week, and put them in my shop, see how they fare!
I'm also trying to find some more boyish things to make for my shop. I think, as a parent of two boys, I've always been a little saddened at the lack of clothing choice for boys here in the uk, its pretty limited, there's nothing worse than walking into a shop thats 75% geared towards girls. Maybe, more girls are born than boys here, I'm not sure but a little more choice would be nice!!
Possibly stumbled upon a niche here!!!
Well, as always its been nice to catch up with you guys
take care xx

Hello my lovelies!!
Just got back into my blogging shoes after a pretty disasterous couple of weeks (y'know sometimes I think I'm like Eeyore from Winnie-the-pooh, with a permanent raincloud following me).
I've had the trauma of my car practically dying on me, plus the tax and MOT ran out, plus I got a crack in the windscreen, not one of those fixable ones, the ones where you have to buy a whole new windscreen, sheesh talk about bad luck!
The boy has been on half term from the end of october to november the 5th, so we've had some nice family time together :) We went to a local firework show, and came home to our own little 'party' - if there's one thing the boys both love, its party food! We also had fun carving a mean looking pumpkin and eating chocolate apples (suprisingly not a hit with the kids)
I've been thinking of a million and one things to make for my etsy shop, even to the point where I've woken in the night and written down ideas (obsessed??!!) but not alot of it has actually come into fruition yet. I'm determined to understand how to make my own patterns, mainly for my work on the knitting machine, but also so I can make some unique designs for my shops on etsy.
Today, I've taught myself how to crochet a baby beanie from scratch, nothing fancy, just making sure my measurements are correct and adding a bit of a fancy trim along the edge its waiting for a flower but I was a little excited and had to show you guys ::
