When is a sock not a sock?

So, not quite there with the grannie square blanket yet, I think it's taking a super long time because I decided to sew all the squares together instead of crocheting (somewhere in the back of my mind I thought this would be easier!) also, I seem to be one of those people who are destined to be ill for the whole duration of their pregnancy so fitting my crochet in around permanent exhaustion, work and sickness has not been very easy :)

In the meantime though, I got to show you guys this new book I bought last week, I think I got a little too excited by the extreme cuteness of the creatures in here and the fact that I now know what to do with all the endless supplies of babysocks in the future :) hurrah!

Too cute for you?

I think i might need a little suitcase full of pigs now.............*sigh*. A trip to the fabric shop maybe in order soon, the book recommends that you use a strongish thread to sew these cuties, so I'm hoping that I will be able to manage a trip out this week (at the moment i'm pretty much bathroom bound). I might pop over to flickr to see if there are any sock pig groups I can join :)

Cheerio xx
